Watching old episodes of Parts Unknown and being struck by little moments like these. What an extraordinary tragedy.
Watching these episodes leading up to his death is breathtaking, you could see how exhausted he was by humanity, by the politics of the world, and how much he valued experiencing and living through the moment that he was in, whether it be with a family, a new view or a plate of food. I love this man
